About Ray

For as long as she can remember, Rachel (responds to Ray as well) has constantly explored creative hobbies from realistic oil portraits and abstract fluid art to woodworking and resin art. In 2020, she decided to purchase a punch needle kit after seeing someone hand-tuft a unique rug on Instagram from start to finish.

A year later, while finishing up her BA in Studio Art from the University of Maryland, she made the time to create gifts, commissions and personal punch needle works for anyone who asked. She feels like she has finally discovered an artistic niche that she can grow with. Over three years later, she is incredibly excited to continue making even bigger rugs and is enjoying sharing her passion for tufting at local markets and festivals.
